- Use and disclosure of personal data
Collection of personal data when using the contact form and inquiries by email.
When you use our contact form, we collect and store your first name, surname and e-mail address for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. The same applies to your message, although this message does not necessarily have to contain personal data. It is not necessary to provide a telephone number for a callback, but this can be included in the message.
If you send us a contact request by e-mail, we collect and store the e-mail address and the data contained in the e-mail.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, as we have a legitimate interest in answering your inquiries. The data will be erased when the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies, i.e. after your email/contact form inquiry has been answered or when the matter relating to the inquiry has been conclusively clarified.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal
Online applications
If you apply to us for a job advertisement, your personal data such as name, address and telephone number will be collected by us and stored for the duration of the selection process. Your data will only be used by authorized persons in the HR department or management for processing as part of the selection process. Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties.
If a specific position for which you are applying has already been filled elsewhere, but your profile makes you eligible for subsequent collaboration or collaboration in a partner or subsidiary company, we will obtain your express consent before storing or forwarding your application, unless you have already consented to such storage or forwarding in your application.
If you send us an unsolicited application using our general contact e-mail address, the content of your application e-mail may be viewed by unauthorized personnel. There is a requirement that the application documents are immediately forwarded unopened to the HR department and the incoming and forwarded e-mail is deleted. If you would like to rule this out, please contact us by telephone before submitting your unsolicited application so that you can be given the contact details of the correct contact person.
The processing of applicant data is carried out in accordance with Art. 88 GDPR (data processing in the employment context – initiation) and in conjunction with § 26 BDSG (data processing for the purposes of the employment relationship – initiation).
Deletion occurs after the completion of the application process or when the purpose of processing ceases to exist, provided that no statutory retention periods apply. In these cases, blocking replaces deletion. Otherwise, application documents will be deleted after a period of 3 months following the end of the selection process, unless you have expressly agreed to the storage of your application data for future job advertisements.
- Collection of personal data when visiting our website
When you visit our website, various server statistics are automatically stored, which your browser transmits to our provider’s server. Among other things, the name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider are logged.
This data is used for the statistical evaluation of visits to our website and cannot be assigned to specific persons. The IP address is anonymized. This data is not merged with other data sources.
The legal basis for data collection is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest in collecting this data is based on the fact that we can use the data to optimize our offer for users, e.g. by preventing access from malicious pages or optimizing access via certain browsers and by logging the IP address to enable the page to be delivered to the visitor.
In principle, you have the right to object to this data collection. As an exception, this does not apply here, as it would otherwise be impossible to use the website.
The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the above-mentioned purposes.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a data record or a small packet of information that consists of a pair of data, a key and a value and stores data. Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which the cookie data was sent, as well as information about the age of the cookie and an alphanumeric identifier. Cookies enable our systems to recognize the user’s device and make any default settings immediately available. As soon as a user accesses our website, a cookie is transferred to the hard disk of the user’s computer. Cookies help us to improve our website and offer you a better and more personalized service. They enable us to recognize your computer when you return to our website and thereby store information about your preferred activities on the website and thus tailor our website to your individual interests. This includes, for example, advertising that matches your personal interests. Cookies also enable us to speed up the processing of your inquiries.
The cookies we use only store the data explained above about your use of the website. This is not done by assigning it to you personally, but by assigning an identification number to the cookie (“cookie ID”). The cookie ID is not merged with your name, IP address or similar data that would allow the cookie to be assigned to you.
We work together with business partners who support us in making the Internet offer and the website more interesting for you. For this reason, cookies from these partner companies are also stored on your hard disk when you visit the website. These are cookies that are automatically deleted after the specified time. The cookies of our partner companies also only collect data using a cookie ID, which enables our advertising partners to address you with advertising that may actually be of interest to you.
The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the fact that we can only make it easier for you to access the site with the aforementioned cookies, do not collect any tracking data and therefore do not interfere with your personal rights and fundamental freedoms.
If you do not wish to use browser cookies, you can set your browser so that the storage of cookies is not accepted. Please note that in this case you may only be able to use our website to a limited extent or not at all. If you only want to accept our own cookies, but not the cookies of our service providers and partners, you can select the “Block third-party cookies” setting in your browser.
Consent Banner / Cookie Banner / Consent request
According to the ruling of The Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof – BGH), an active cookie banner is required if cookies (of any kind) are used. Our website uses cookie consent technology to obtain your consent to the storage of certain cookies in your browser and to document this in compliance with data protection regulations.
When you enter our website, a cookie for the cookie hint is stored in your browser, in which the consents you have given or the revocation of these consents are stored.
This data is not passed on to the provider of the cookie banner. The data collected in this way is stored until you ask us to delete it or the cookie banner deletes itself or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
Cookie consent technology is used to obtain the legally required consent for the use of cookies. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR.
Google Web Fonts
Our website uses so-called web fonts, which are provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”) for the uniform display of fonts. When you access our website, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache so that texts and fonts are displayed correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must connect to Google’s servers. This informs Google that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font will be used by your computer. You can find information on Google Web Fonts at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in the data protection information of Google: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy.
Google Maps
Our website uses the map service Google Maps from Google Inc (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). Our legitimate interest is based on the fact that we can make it easier for you to find our company.

When Matomo is used, the following data is processed: the browser type and version you use, the operating system you use, your country of origin, the date and time of the server request, the number of visits, the time you spend on the website and the external links you click on. We use Matomo with the “No Cookies” function and anonymize your IP address to 2 bytes before it is saved so that it can no longer be linked to you. This processing is carried out to protect our legitimate interests. We have a legitimate interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offering. Your legitimate interest in not having your above-mentioned data used for this purpose does not outweigh our legitimate interest, as we use this data appropriately for the described processing purpose and it is not possible to draw conclusions about your person through the measures described above.
Once the purpose for which the data was collected has been fulfilled, the data will be deleted unless further processing is required for a limited period of time.
You have the option of preventing actions you take here from being analyzed and linked. This will protect your privacy, but will also prevent the website owner from learning from your actions and improving the usability of the site for you and other users.

In particular, your personal data is transmitted to us in encrypted form. We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) coding system.

We do not pass on your personal data to third parties unless you have consented to the data being passed on or we are entitled or obliged to pass on data on the basis of statutory provisions and/or official or court orders. - Social media platforms – data protection information
- Type and purpose of processing
Thank you for your interest in our presence on social media platforms. We would like to give you an overview of what data we collect, use and store there: Social networks can generally analyze your user behavior comprehensively when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media presences triggers numerous data protection-relevant processing operations. In detail: If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data is collected, for example, via cookies that are stored on your device or by recording your IP address. With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which your preferences and interests are stored. In this way, interest-based advertising can be displayed to you inside and outside the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are logged in or have been logged in. Please also note that we cannot track all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. For details, please refer to the terms of use and data protection provisions of the respective social media portals. - Legal basis of the processing
The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f. GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in being able to contact our customers. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g. consent within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). - Data categories
